Family Fun Time

Well, accidents do happen and they change plans! We are thankful that Rick's motorcycle accident was minor and will delay us only two months. To think it could be worse, makes us appreciate and accept our circumstances. The kids came on for the weekend that we were to have a family trip. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed hamburgers outside. The doc took out the staples today and the healing is going great. So another two months and we will be on the road again! gail

Northside, Benton Listening Lab

We had a terrific week leading a listening lab in Benton, AR. The picture is missing some of the group and we didn't have the numbers we have had at some congregations, but the quality was there. We feel blessed getting to know these participants and how the lab will affect their lives.
As always, we enjoy being with Gary and June Thorson also!

Charleston ...then home.

We were able to have a couple of good days in Charleston. Seeing the history and the going through the WWII aircraft carrier is an amazing way to appreciate our soldiers past and present who serve our country.

We traveled across the states of South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, the tip of Tennesee and into Arkansas to arrive home. We will be here for three weeks before heading west. Rick will be leading another Listening Lab in Benton.

Bikin in Savannah

We were blessed to have a gorgeous day to sightsee in Savannah, GA today. We took a trolley tour around the city and learned about some of the historical facts. Then we ate a huge and totally high caloric meal at Paula Dean's restaurant Lady and Sons. Fortunately we had our bikes and got some good exercise riding back around to some areas we wanted to see again and then down to the river front. The flowers and trees were blossoming.

Shuttle Launch

What a fascinating experience to see the Discovery Shuttle blast off into space. Over 40,000 people went to Titusville near Kennedy Space Center to watch. About 40 of us caravaned together from the bible camp. The bridge that goes over to the space center was crowded with people, but we stayed along the shore. There was only a short delay before we could hear the engines and see the shuttle. Awesome!

We had a great time on the zip line for our first time. Now we would love to do one of the courses that you see around the country. Great Fun!

Flowers and Hoe Downs

We have had a great first week here in Eustis, Fl. Jo Childers spoke with a great lesson for the women. Other lessons have been funny, encouraging, and uplifting. On Valentine's Day, we had a ladies tea and fashion show. It was interesting to see all the hats, especially the one I wore. That was a hoot. I put one of the roses from my Valentine flowers that Rick gave me on my straw hat! No, you won't see a picture of that. Rick had to give an impromptu lesson on health when one of the speakers could not make it. He did a great job of relating taking care of our bodies like we take care of our RVs! We are playing Bocce Ball and Pickle Ball. More on that later!
